Things to look forward to.
In addition to the New Year, global warming and eventual death, here are a few other things to look forward to. Basically this post is a cheat. You see, I am completely bored, nothing to do but still cannot find the energy to put together a well reasoned and thoughtful post on anything at all. So I thought I would give a glimpse of a few ideas I have for future posts.
Another weekly recipe: Lamb Burgers
The wife says I shouldn't give this one up, but what the hell. You guys have been faithful supporters. (all two of you)
Rant: On charcoal and why it cannot be found at Trader Joe's during the winter. (It is LA! For fuck's sake. It may be December but it is still 65 degrees!)
Adventures in wine country:
Follow us on our search for a very specifc bottle of wine that is no longer in supply.
OK, I know this is the lazy way out. Now at least I have committed myself to making these posts, right. I have all of you to hold me to task.

Along with the TJ comment on not carrying charcoal, same thing applies to styrofoam coolers. Just b/c it's not Summer/tailgating season, places will not carry it. What? I can't drink beer during the winter??!!
This is one of the things I find most hilarious about Angelenos (another is the rediculous handle given to those who live here.) That just because it is winter, they get all dressed up in big coats and complain about the cold. Brrr! It is 78 degrees right now!!
Winter is the perfect time for beer. (Actually, September is the perfect time for beer as this is right after the hops are harvested.) Anyway, winter is a good time too. You need the alcohol to keep you from freezing to death while you stand in line at places like Din Tai Fung.
Seriously, how funny would it be if they set up a bar outside of Din Tai Fung. By the time you get in, you'll be eating more than you anticipated. And that would bring more of a profit to DTF. and yes, beer prevails in all seasons.
Someone could definitely make a killing selling ice cold brews out front. Always so hot up there. I can't bring myself to spend too much time in that miscellaneous asian store next door either, even though it has AC.
This is your calling 2nd-fave. You buy 72 beers and set up shop in front of Pink's, DTF, Phillipe's French Dip. At $1.50-2 each, you can make more than enough to buy you gas to the next location as well as some of the landmark's food. The thing is, after a long day, you'll be reeking of danger dogs b/c there's a hot dog lady next to you following you haha.
haha, dude, asian shopping plazas are always so random. there's always a herbal shop selling ginseng, a nail salon, a cellphone store, a 99-cent gift store, etc.
I am not sure that I could be trusted alone with 72 beers.
